BOSS Dance Company is the main project of the Dance Society. Created in the fall of 2010, by Caitlin Burke and Lauren List, BOSS Dance Company offers UT students the opportunity to grow as dancers and continue dancing throughout college. The company was founded after the UTDC (University of Tennessee Dance Company) had been unable to continue because of budget cuts at the University.

We offer a variety of technique classes in styles including (but not necessarily limited to): ballet, lyrical, contemporary, modern, jazz, tap, swing, and hip hop. In addition, our biggest performance opportunity is our spring annual showcase. The BOSS Dance Company Showcase presents pieces choreographed by local, guest and student choreographers.

Auditions are held in the early fall during the academic year on a Sunday. Rehearsals are once a week per piece and additional rehearsals may be added if necessary. If you are a UT student interested in trying out for BOSS Dance Company please email dance@utk.edu for more information!
